After two years of COVID-19 restrictions limiting access to and around Dwight Hall and Veteran’s Memorial Park in Townsite for traditional Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 (Powell River) Remembrance Day events, the schedule is returning to pre-pandemic normalcy for 2022.

Friday, November 11

7 to 9 am
Breakfast (Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164, lower hall, 6811 Alexander Street)

9:15 am
Bus leaves Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 to take veterans to parade area

9:30 am
Parade Fall In (foot of Arbutus Avenue, west end of Walnut Street in Townsite)

9:35 am
March on the Colours

9:45 am
Parade marches off to Dwight Hall

10 am

Service begins at Dwight Hall

March in the Colours
“O Canada”
Colours are deposited into flag stands
Service
Colours are retrieved
“God Save the King”
Colours leave the hall
Parade will form up in two ranks outside the hall

10:45 am
Parade marches off to the cenotaph
