Academy presents scholarships to musicians

Thirty-three young musicians performed for scholarships at the annual Powell River Academy of Music Scholarship Competition, recently.

The academy holds an annual scholarship competition in November for pianists, vocalists and instrumentalists studying at the facility. The scholarship money is generously donated by patrons and teachers to assist students in their future studies.
