Powell River Regional District directors passed two resolutions to advise the ministry of transportation and infrastructure that it supports two proposed subdivisions.
The first is a two-lot subdivision in the vicinity of Claridge Road, which is subject to amending the Electoral Area B official community plan to designate proposed lot one to suburban residential from rural residential. The second subdivision is a proposed four-lot application for a property on Texada Island in the vicinity of Spectacle Lake, subject to the establishment of a restrictive covenant to protect all applicable watercourses.
Travel expenses
The board agreed with a recommendation from the committee of the whole to authorize full payment of all entitled meeting allowances, incidental and travel expenses and per diem allowances to the directors who attended the Sunshine Coast Regional District joint meeting held on May 29, 2013. The board, however, will revisit the directors’ remuneration and expenses bylaw to examine and potentially make modifications to the policy that governs out-of-town travel for directors and employees.
Meeting moved
The August meeting for the Powell River Regional District will be held at Texada Community Hall, 2602 Gillies Bay Road, at 7 pm on Thursday, August 22.Â
Traffe Road
