Residents saw a very familiar sight at 4:40 pm Wednesday, April 16. The Queen of Burnaby returned to service for the 3:15 pm sailing from Little River to Westview.
In a press release Tuesday, April 15, BC Ferries apologized for any inconvenience caused by the change in vessel. The Burnaby underwent its scheduled refit and provided service on the Tswwassen - Southern Gulf Island route.
The Island Sky has been on the route between Comox and Powell River since October 2013. It will return to servicing the Earls Cove - Saltery Bay route May 1. In the meantime, the Queen of Chilliwack has been on that route with a revised schedule.
