1. March 21 to 24

Various locations

Various vehicles were either broken into or just accessed as doors were left unlocked. On each occasion, vehicles were rummaged through and items were removed during the night. Both the 4100 block and 3800 block of Gordon Avenue, 4200 block Manson Avenue and 4800 block Bowness Avenue were targeted. Mostly, loose change was taken. On one occasion, an attempt was made to siphon fuel from a vehicle parked near Nootka Street and Manitoba Avenue.

2. Between March 25 and 26

Manson Avenue at Duncan Street

Overnight, a parked truck had both of its rear tires slashed.

3. March 23 and 25

Various locations

Impaired drivers were out in force. The first was the driver of a Ford F-150 observed at 8:30 pm March 23 weaving along Joyce Avenue close to Butedale Street. The driver was given a three-day driving suspension and the vehicle was impounded for three days. The second was at approximately 8 pm on March 25 when the driver of a white Dodge Neon narrowly missed the centre meridian at Joyce Avenue and Barnet Street then swerved and narrowly missed hitting the sidewalk. The third occurred at 9:30 pm on March 25. A grey Ford truck was being driven in the middle of the road at well below the speed limit near River Road and Eagle Drive. The drivers for both the second and third incidents had their vehicles impounded for 30 days and driver’s licences suspended for 90 days.
