Police received a report of a theft from a vehicle parked at a parking lot. Sometime between March 25 and March 26, the vehicle had been broken into and a black backpack containing a pilot communications headset was stolen. The item is valued at approximately $200. 7000 block Alberni Street
Police responded to a report of a break and enter at a business. Sometime during the night someone smashed the front door and entered the business. A debit/credit card machine and a sum of Canadian currency was stolen from inside the business. Police stopped a red Chevrolet Equinox after receiving information that it may have been involved in an accident. While speaking to the driver, police found evidence of earlier cocaine use by the 39-year-old driver and her 38-year-old passenger. The driver of the vehicle was issued a driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded.
