Alberni Street
Police responded to a report that two males on bicycles had almost collided with two pedestrians. The bicycles were being ridden downhill on the sidewalk, when the riders narrowly missed two people walking up. RCMP wish to remind cyclists that bikes are to be ridden on streets or in bike lanes and not on sidewalks.
2. July 29
4600 block Joyce Avenue
Police responded to a report of a break and enter. Between 2 and 2:30 pm a residence was broken into and a green motorcycle helmet and medication were taken. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.4255 or CrimeStoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).

Highway 101 north
Police responded to a hit and run near Lund. A parked grey 2009 Ford pickup truck was hit by another vehicle sometime during the previous week. Approximately $1,200 damage was done to the passenger side of the truck.
