1. December 5
Abbotsford Street and Willingdon Avenue
A 2002 Grey Chevrolet Cavalier with licence plate 865 WNE was reported stolen. Further investigation discovered the vehicle was involved in a hit and run at Duncan Street and Joyce Avenue on the same day. Then the same vehicle was located burning near Granite Lake Sand Pit off Goat Lake Main. 2. December 5 through 8
Impaired drivers were caught on Texada Island, Willingdon Avenue and Cranberry Street. In all three instances the drivers lost their licences for 90 days and the vehicles were impounded for 30 days.
3. December 6
Highway 101 and Donkersley Road
Powell River RCMP conducted a road block during which time a driver of an older Oldsmobile Cutlass was found to be driving while being prohibited and subsequently was given a court date and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
