3200 block Highway 101

A residence was broken into. Various tools and prescription medications were stolen. It appears the culprit(s) gained entry to the residence through a kitchen window.

4500 block Harvie Avenue

At approximately 9 pm a concerned citizen reported that two males were trying to break into vehicles. Police attended and located the two males. One of the males was arrested for being too intoxicated to care for himself and during the arrest three small packages of cocaine were located in his possession. Charges have been recommended for possession of a controlled drug.

1500 block Scotch Place

An abandoned 911 call was received from a residence in Lund. Police attended to investigate and found that nobody was in distress. The 911 call was accidentally dialed by a young child. While investigating the validity of the 911 call, over 100 kilograms of marijuana was located in the basement of the residence. The homeowner was arrested for possession of a controlled drug and was released from custody after being scheduled to appear in court.

4000 block Joyce Avenue

A 1999 green Ford Taurus was stolen. The owner is unsure if the doors were locked but a spare key was left inside the vehicle. Powell River RCMP has made extensive patrols in an attempt to locate the missing vehicle but it has yet to be recovered.
