Powell River RCMP received information about a potential drug deal. After police acted on the provided information two males were arrested. One male was on probation and was identified as Christopher Kelly. He was brought before a justice of the peace and the following Criminal Charges were sworn: unlawful possession of a controlled substance contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act; failure to comply with probation order contrary to section 733.1 of the Criminal Code.
A small amount of marijuana was seized as a result of the investigation and the second male who has not been identified is facing potential criminal charges of trafficking a controlled substance.
