1. February 13
Manson Avenue at Joyce Avenue
Police stopped a vehicle after someone reported that the driver may be impaired. The 22-year-old male driver admitted to consuming alcohol and provided a breath sample which registered a “warn.” The driver was issued a three-day driving prohibition under the Motor Vehicle Act.
2. February 15
Block Bay
Police responded to theft complaint. A Johnson 15 horsepower outboard motor, valued at $1,500, was stolen from that location. This is the third theft since the beginning of January 2013. In previous thefts, boom chains, swifter cables and a large amount of diesel fuel were stolen. The total value of these items was $4,700. 3. February 16
4400 block Marine Avenue
A bag of medical supplies was taken from a BC Ambulance Service vehicle parked outside a business. While the paramedics were helping the victim of an assault, a fabric briefcase containing medical supplies, valued at approximately $1,000, was stolen from inside the ambulance.
