1. February 18

Padgett Road

A member of the public called police to report a possible impaired driver after observing a vehicle swerving along the road. The vehicle then rolled through three stop signs before being located and stopped by police near Manson Avenue and Abbotsford Street. The driver was found to be impaired by alcohol. His vehicle was subsequently impounded for 30 days and his driver’s licence was seized for 90 days.

2. February 18

Duncan Street at Joyce Avenue

A vehicle was observed in a commercial building parking lot completely covered in ice. It was driven out of the parking lot without any head lights or running lights turned on. The vehicle was stopped by police due to the danger of limited visibility. The driver was found to be impaired by alcohol. His vehicle was impounded for 30 days and his driver’s licence seized for 90 days.

3. February 20

Alberni Street at Joyce Avenue

A vehicle attempted to turn left into a commercial parking lot. The driver failed to see a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction and while executing the turn collided with the motorcycle knocking it and the rider to the ground. No life-threatening injuries were sustained. The driver of the vehicle was issued at violation ticket for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.

4. February 21 to 24

Sutherland Avenue
