St. Vincent Bay
Police received a report of a break and enter at a cabin. Sometime between November 11 and December 28, 2012, the cabin was entered and a quantity of food and hardware items were taken from inside. A number of cabins in this area have been broken into in the last couple of months. Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or CrimeStoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
2. January 31
Marine Avenue
Police responded to a report of an impaired driver. The vehicle was located a short time later and stopped. Police spoke to the 51-year-old driver of the vehicle who showed signs of impairment. He provided a breath sample which registered a “fail.” The male was then issued a 90-day driving prohibition under the Motor Vehicle Act and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
