1. January 11
Marine Avenue near Willingdon Beach
At approximately 2:15 am an officer on patrol came across a vandalized vehicle. The blue 1999 Dodge Neon had both side windows smashed and the front windshield was cracked. Damage was done with a rock. The vehicle was checked at around 1 am at which point no damage was done. 2. January 12
Highway 101 south of Pebble Beach Road
Police responded to a collision. A driver of a vehicle lost control after hitting an icy patch on the road and went off the right side of the road striking a cement barrier. The driver sustained minor injuries from the collision and was taken to Powell River General Hospital for assessment.
3. January 13
Warner Street
Police responded to a mischief complaint. A chain-link gate and post was ripped out of the ground so that access could be gained to the gravel pit at that location. This incident took place between 9:30 pm on January 12 and 9:21 am on January 13.
