1. January 10
4400 block Marine Avenue
Police responded to a mischief complaint to a business. Obscene words were scratched into and written on the back door. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP at 604.485.6255 or CrimeStoppers at 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
2. January 11
Timberlane Avenue
Police stopped a vehicle while conducting patrols in that area. After speaking with the driver, it was determined that her driver’s licence had been suspended. The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket, a driving prohibition and the vehicle was impounded.
3. January 14
Padgett Road
Police responded to a collision. The driver of a red Ford Ranger lost control of his vehicle and started sliding due to icy road conditions. The Ranger then struck a red Honda CRV, the driver of which had attempted to avoid the Ranger, but was unsuccessful. Neither of the drivers were injured as a result of the collision.
