Dixon Road
Police stopped a vehicle while conducting a road check at that location. While speaking with police, the 56-year-old male driver showed signs of impairment. He provided a breath sample which registered a “fail.” He was issued a 90-day driving prohibition and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days under the Motor Vehicle Act.
2. January 2
11000 block Highway 101
Police responded to a theft complaint at a property. Sometime between December 31 and January 2, three Stihl chainsaws were taken. The saws are distinctive and described as being big saws with very small bars and are valued at approximately $500 each. 5500 block Manson Avenue
Police responded to a collision. A vehicle heading north on Manson lost control in a curve, crossed over the centre line and was struck by a vehicle heading southbound. Although the vehicles and a property at that location sustained damage, neither driver was seriously injured.
