1. June 12
7000 block Duncan Street
At approximately 11:44 pm a commercial business was broken into. An Ion Block Rocker speaker was stolen.
2. June 15
4700 block Joyce Avenue
At 2:55 am, Powell River RCMP attended the scene of a break and enter at a medical office. Forced entry was gained into the office and undisclosed items were stolen. Police conducted a search of the building and area but were unable to locate any suspects.

Powell River RCMP Constable Anthony Stewart has been named to the Alexa’s All Stars for his efforts in getting impaired drivers off the road in our community. The award, which was launched in 2008, is named after Alexa Middelaar, who was only four years of age when, in May 2008, she was killed by an impaired driver who struck her and her aunt while they were feeding a horse on the side of the road at Ladner, BC. Officers in BC are named to Alexa’s Team for taking at least 12 impaired drivers off the road during in a single year. This is the second year in a row that Stewart has been named to the team.
