7000 block Barnet Street
At approximately 7:45 pm an officer on patrol observed a vehicle drive over a curb. The vehicle did not have any licence plates on it and the officer recognized the female driver as not having a driver’s licence so the vehicle was stopped. The driver displayed signs of impairment. A roadside breathalyzer test was conducted which she failed. The 44-year-old Powell River resident was issued a 90-day driving prohibition, violation tickets for driving with no insurance and driving without a driver’s licence, and her vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
