Information session and entrance exam
At 12:30 pm on Sunday, July 26, there will be an RCMP career presentation at the Powell River RCMP detachment, located at 7070 Barnet Street, Powell River. Constable Samantha Haldane from Island District Headquarters in Victoria will in attendance. There will be an entrance exam at 2:30 pm following the information session. It is mandatory to register for the event by calling 1.877.726.7472 or visiting online.

Reminder about vehicles
Powell River RCMP has been receiving reports of pets being left in vehicles for unsafe periods of time while owners have been out of the vehicle shopping or running errands. Police would like to remind pet owners that a pet left in a vehicle can be affected adversely by the heat in a short period of time, especially this time of the year. Pet owners have a responsibility to ensure their pets are safe from harm when left unattended.
