1. March 17
Highway 101 near Roberts Road
Police responded to a report of mischief to highway signs. Approximately 21 signs had been knocked down or flattened by a vehicle during the night. The total damage is estimated at approximately $20,000. Investigators were able to gather evidence at a number of the scenes for forensic examination. 2. March 18
Wharf Street
Police responded to a report that a female had fallen off the dock beside the Westview ferry terminal. On scene, investigators determined the female had been depressed and jumped off the dock on purpose. Powell River Fire Rescue, BC Ambulance Service and Canadian Coast Guard all attended the scene to provide aid to the female. She was transported by ambulance to Powell River General Hospital for further care.
