1. March 18
4200 block Padgett Road
Around 5:30 am a vehicle was driven off the road. The driver of the vehicle was located unharmed but demonstrated symptoms of impairment. The vehicle was impounded for 24 hours and the driver was issued a 24-hour driving prohibition.
2. March 20
4400 block Marine Avenue
Overnight a liquor establishment was broken into. An undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes were reported missing. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or CrimeStoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
3. March 22
7100 Alberni Street
At approximately 4:45 pm an elderly driver was attempting to park outside a store. While attempting to park the driver accelerated and collided with three unoccupied parked vehicles. The initial investigation determined the driver became confused while parking and firmly pushed the accelerator instead of the brake which caused the vehicle to accelerate over a concrete median and hit the three parked cars. The driver, who was not injured, was served with a violation ticket for driving without due care and attention.
4. March 22
6900 block Crofton Street
