1. April 30
7100 block Alberni Street
Police responded to a theft complaint at a business. A 42-year-old male grabbed a lawn mower from a display and walked out of the business before loading it into the back of a truck and leaving. Witnesses provided Police with the licence number of the truck and the male was located and arrested a short time later.
2. May 2
7100 block Alberni Street
Police responded to a complaint of graffiti on a local business property which had happened sometime during the early hours of the morning. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or call CrimeStoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
3. May 4
5900 block Mowat Avenue
Police responded to a theft complaint at a residence. A male was reported to have stolen a girl’s bike and a tool set from a residence at that location. With information provided by residents, the male was located by Police and arrested. The 23-year-old male has been charged with theft and will appear in court in July.
4. May 5
4700 block Marine Avenue
Police received a report of a theft from a vehicle. Sometime during the previous night someone broke into a truck at that location and stole two boxes of brass fittings for plumbing.
