1. November 12
4700 block Joyce Avenue
Powell River RCMP received a driving complaint from a local resident. While making patrols the vehicle was located in a business parking lot. Through the help of business staff and witnesses the police were able to locate the driver and as a result seize his driver’s licence for a period of 24 hours due to symptoms of impairment.
2. November 13
7100 block Huntingdon Street
A vehicle parked on a residential street had all four tires slashed. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to please contact Powell River RCMP 604.485.6255 or CrimeStoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
3. November 16
Highway 101 south
Three single vehicle accidents occurred within 90 minutes of each other. All three accidents took place between Phillips Road and the bridge over Eagle River. No life-threatening injuries resulted although one of the drivers was transported to Powell River General Hospital for further care.
Notice to all drivers that temperatures have been dropping to freezing conditions overnight which has resulted in slippery road conditions.
