1. November 18

3400 block Marine Avenue

A resident was surprised to find an adult black bear in her crawl space. The bear gained entry by forcing open a small door at the rear of the residence. Luckily the crawl space did not connect to the main portion of the home. A BC Conservation Officer attended and was able to encourage the bear to move on by using both bear bangers and bear spray.

November 21 and 22

5600 block Maple Avenue

A vehicle was rummaged through and a small amount of cash was taken. Police ask owners to remember to secure their vehicles and remove anything of value in order to deter any potential thieves.

November 23

Ward Place

In the early morning hours a Honda Accord was stopped for speeding. The driver demonstrated signs of impairment and provided two breath samples which resulted in the driver’s licence being suspended for 90 days and the vehicle being impounded for 30 days.
