1. September 20 and 21

4700 block Ontario Avenue

A vehicle was broken into while it was parked. Items missing include an unknown amount of loose change and a stereo.

2. September 22

7000 block Glacier Street

Police responded to an activation of a business alarm at a local electronic store. Upon arrival it was confirmed that entry was made to the store and numerous items were missing including TVs, DVD players and digital cameras. Most of the items were recovered but a few cameras remain outstanding.

3. September 23

6700 block Cranberry Street

A complaint was made against a bear that was acting aggressively. BC Conservation Officer service was notified and the bear eventually left the area. Garbage left outside a residence is thought to have attracted the bear.

4. September 23

At approximately 8:30 pm staff at a local beer and wine store called police after a customer was refused service for being intoxicated and departed driving a vehicle. A local RCMP officer made patrols and located the vehicle. The female driver was found to be impaired by alcohol, her vehicle was impounded for 30 days and her driver’s licence was seized for 90 days.

5. September 27

Manson Avenue

At 4 am a Ford pickup truck was observed being driven erratically. A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol. As a result the driver’s licence was seized for seven days.

6. September 28

6800 block Cranberry Street

During the evening, five vehicles were damaged while parked in front of a local hall. Damage included bent windshield wipers, bent and broken antennas and scratches to the paint.
