1. September 29
4100 block Marine Avenue
At approximately 10:30 am a local resident returned home to find someone inside his house. The intruder exited the residence via a basement door and took off running through a neighbour’s yard. Due to the break and enter being interrupted nothing was taken. The male suspect was described as a thin male, approximately six feet tall and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
2. October 1
7000 block Glacier Street
Between 1 and 3 am an unlocked vehicle was entered while parked. Some clothes and miscellaneous items were reported missing, most notably a spare key.
3. October 3
Joyce Avenue at Duncan Street
At approximately 10:30 am a white pickup truck backed out of a parking stall at a business and backed into another vehicle. The female driver did not stop so the owner of the damaged vehicle called police while the truck drove away. The truck was described as looking like a white Chevrolet Silverado with an unconfirmed partial licence plate of CE482.
4. October 4
Highway 101 near Lang Bay Road
At approximately 11:45 pm a white Bronco was observed being driven at a high rate of speed. A vehicle stop was conducted and it was determined that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drugs. A small amount of marijuana was seized and the driver’s licence was seized for 24 hours. The vehicle was also impounded for a period of 24 hours.
5. October 5
Westview Ferry Terminal
At approximately 10:30 pm police responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver on a BC Ferry. Police attended and located the only vehicle left on the ferry which had a driver passed out in the driver seat. After waking and speaking to the driver it was determined that the driver’s ability to drive a vehicle was impaired and as a result the vehicle was towed and impounded for 24 hours. The driver’s license was also seized for 24 hours.
