City of Powell River Mayor Dave Formosa has announced he will be running for a third term on council.
Speaking at council’s committee of the whole meeting on Thursday, September 18, Formosa said he’s going to run for one more term because what he has been working on is not quite complete.
“I’d be glad to move off into the sunset with my wife, children and grandchildren, but having said that, I have weighed this out,” Formosa said. “There are some unknowns.”
Formosa was first elected to city council in 2008 as a councillor, and defeated Stewart Alsgard, the incumbent mayor, in the 2011 civic election.
