Powell River RCMP are looking for anyone who may have witnessed a hit and run accident on August 13.
The incident happened at approximately 11 pm as a scooter driver was turning left onto Joyce Avenue from Barnet Street.
A man riding an electric scooter was hit from behind by a black sport utility vehicle (SUV) with an unknown licence plate.
Police report that the man, who was knocked off the scooter, received some injuries. The occupants of the black SUV did not remain at the scene.
The police are asking for the public’s help to identify the black SUV. If anyone has any information they can contact the Powell River RCMP at 604.485.6255 or anonymously through Crimestoppers 1.800.222.8477 (TIPS).
