Powell River RCMP reported the following for January 23 to 30, 2019.

January 28; Scotia Place, 4300 block
At approximately 9:41 am, police responded to a theft. Between 6 pm on January 25 and 8 am on January 28, someone stole plywood and an extension cord from a building site. Police were also advised that several other items had been stolen from the site earlier in the year.

January 29; Joyce Avenue, 4400 block
At approximately 12:33 pm, police responded to a report of a break and enter at the Carlson Community Club. Between 9 pm on January 28 and 7:15 am on January 29, someone broke in and stole a 24-pack of beer and some frozen steaks valued at approximately $100. It is believed the suspect broke in through a second-storey window on the north side of the building.

January 29; Joyce Avenue, 4600 block
At approximately 9:27 pm, police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver. RCMP located the vehicle and stopped it nearby. The 37-year-old female driving the vehicle exhibited signs of impairment. A sobriety test was conducted, which she failed. The driver is facing charges of impaired driving by drugs.
