Powell River RCMP reported the following for March 28 to April 3, 2019.

March 29; Joyce Avenue
At approximately 11:30 pm, police observed a vehicle driving erratically. The 2008 Pontiac G5 was stopped and the 53-year-old male driver showed signs of impairment. A roadside test was performed, which the driver completed poorly. The driver was then taken to the detachment to complete a drug recognition exam. A urine sample was obtained and will be forwarded to the RCMP forensic lab for analysis. Depending on the results, the driver could be facing charges of drug impaired driving.
April 1; Michigan Avenue
At approximately 8 am, police responded to a mischief complaint at École Côte du Soleil. Some time on Saturday, March 30, a wood and metal play structure was knocked over resulting in over $20,000 in damage.
April 1; Alberni Street
At approximately 9:30 am, police responded to a report of a break and enter at The Sweet Shoppe in the Town Centre Mall. Sometime during the previous night approximately $150 in cash and a box of candy (valued at $50) was stolen.
