June 1; Highway 101, Saltery Bay
At approximately 12:49 am, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision. The driver of the truck, which was also towing a trailer, had swerved to avoid a bear on the road. The truck and trailer went off the road and started on fire. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

June 4; Joyce Avenue, 4400 block
At approximately 4 pm, police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle. A custom-made mountain bike valued in excess of $7,000 was stolen from the back of a parked truck while the owner briefly went into a convenience store. The bike is described as having a large Rockshox fork, orange handlebars, large tires and a chrome frame.

June 4; Alberni Street, 7100 block
At approximately 1:41 pm, police responded to a report of a break and enter at a business. Sometime between 4 pm on June 3 and 10 am on June 4, someone entered the building and stole a number of tools, including a cordless drill and a hammer drill valued in excess of $1,000.
