Powell River RCMP reported the following for October 17 to 23, 2019.

October 17; Joyce Avenue, 4700 block
At approximately 6:40 am, police responded to a hit and run that occurred at Tim Hortons. A maroon Grand Caravan was heading west through the parking lot when it was struck by a black truck leaving the drive-through. The driver of the truck failed to stop and left the area. The Grand Caravan had extensive damage to the passenger side of the vehicle.

October 22; Baker Street, 7100 block
At approximately 10:21 am, police responded to a report of a break and enter at a residence. Sometime during the night, someone attempted to break into a shed on the property. The handle of the door was damaged while trying to gain access, and a piece of plywood was ripped off the side. It is not believed that entry was made as nothing was taken.
