Powell River RCMP reported the following for November 18 to 25, 2020.

November 18; Joyce Avenue
At approximately 4:38 pm, police responded to a report of a suspicious occurrence on Joyce Avenue near Barnet Street. A white GMC truck pulled to the side of the road and the male driver spoke to a young female walking by. The complainant reported that the young female looked disgusted and walked away from the truck. The female was described as being eight to 10 years old, Caucasian with pink hair and wearing a black coat with pink or purple dots on it. Police are looking for any witnesses who may have seen this interaction.

November 24 ; Westminster Street
At approximately 10:40 am, police were making patrols on Westminster Street when a vehicle was observed driving toward Marine Avenue. Police checked the licence plate of the vehicle and determined it did not have insurance. Police stopped the vehicle and determined the 39-year-old male driver was prohibited from driving. The driver was arrested for prohibited driving and released with a court date in February 2021. The vehicle was also impounded.
