Powell River RCMP reported the following for March 5 to 12:

Impaired driving: 1
Assault: 1
Theft: 9

Break and enter: 1

Thursday, March 8; Joyce Avenue, 4800 block
RCMP received a report of a theft from a green Subaru Forester station wagon, which was parked in a grocery store parking lot at approximately 6:30 pm on March 1. The unknown culprit entered the vehicle through an unlocked door and took the owner's iPad Mini.

Saturday, March 10; Wharf Street, 6700 block
RCMP received a report of theft of a Scotty deep-line downrigger from a boat moored at the north harbour. The theft is believed to have happened in the last week. The item stolen is worth approximately $500.

Sunday, March 11; McLean Road, 2100 block
RCMP received a report of theft from a van at a salvage yard. An unknown male was observed smashing the windows of the van and stealing its battery. The man, who also sprayed the inside of the van with a fire extinguisher, is described as thin and wearing grey pants and a baggy t-shirt with a gold chain. He made his exit on a bicycle.
