The president of a Port Coquitlam company will be in San Francisco next month to speak at this year’s Zero Waste Forum and International Dialogue.

Jamie Kaminski of HSR Zero Waste is the Canadian representative at the conference as the lead policy advisory for Zero Waste Canada and a board member of the Zero Waste International Alliance.

He’ll talk about how businesses can use zero waste methods in their practice, including diverting recyclables from the landfill.

Organized by Race to Zero Waste (R20W), the conference will also hear speakers from Türkiye, China, Ukraine, Kenya, Brazil, Indonesia and Sweden, among other countries, sharing their stories about how to go waste-free.

The event coincides with the International Day of Zero Waste on Saturday, March 30, as well as Earth Day on April 22.
