Powell River Board of Education has been provided updates on growth plans for each School District 47 school.
At the June 21 board of education meeting, trustees heard from principals Stephanie Hall, from Partners in Education; Matt Hull, from Henderson Elementary School; Jennifer Kennedy, from Kelly Creek Community School; Bill Rounis, from James Thomson Elementary School; Jamie Burt, from Edgehill Elementary School; Jasmine Marshman, from Brooks Secondary School; and Dr. Shannon Behan, from Westview Elementary School.
In all the elementary schools, video productions were created, interviewing the principals, staff and students about school growth plans, and the many activities going on in local schools. The principals also answered questions from the board of education at the board meeting.
The school growth plan videos are now online and available for viewing on the homepage of the school district’s website, at sd47.bc.ca.
