City of Powell River council approved a zoning amendment bylaw and sustainable official community plan amendment bylaw that would change the zoning of a property at Michigan Avenue and Alberni Street from general commercial to single- and two-family residential.
The property was formerly a law office and is being converted back to a residential building, according to city councillor Maggie Hathaway.
The approval was made at the May 19 city council meeting.
