City of Powell River Council has issued a zoning amendment bylaw for a property at 7259 Alberni Street, formally known as Hilltop Store.
The amendment bylaw allows for retail sales, service and rental of tools, hardware and small equipment; accessory open storage of tools and small equipment; two dwelling units located on the upper floor in a commercial building; and placement of one steel storage container vented to the satisfaction of the fire chief and chief building inspector.
The announcement was made at the October 6 city council meeting.
At the July 19 committee of the whole meeting, director of planning services Jason Gow outlined a planned development for the property, that would see Relay Rentals and Sales and WINMAR Property Restoration moving to the site, plus the development of two rental accommodations.
