Powell River Public Library has been notified that due to a massive water main issue under the plaza where it is located, the library must close the morning of July 28.
“Unfortunately, because of this, we will have to cancel Happening 4 Tomorrow,” stated summer reading club project assistant Justin Johansen. “As of right now, Construction Zone 4 will still be happening on Friday as scheduled, but it is advised to check in with the library’s website and social media for updates on the situation.”
Currently, the library’s website indicates that the closure will take place until 1 pm.
