At approximately 1:20 pm on May 12, Powell River RCMP responded to a report of a male who was in possession of a can of pepper spray and was threatening to use it on someone.
Police attended and located the male at the corner of Kokanee Place and Abbotsford Street. Police searched the male and located a can of pepper spray in his possession and he was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, the male has been charged with uttering threats and breach of probation. He appeared in court on May 13, where he was released on conditions by a provincial court judge. He will appear in court again on May 27, 2025.
