Powell River Regional District has scheduled a second public hearing about the draft official community plan (OCP) for Area B.
The hearing starts at 7 pm on Tuesday, November 13 at the Powell River Therapeutic Riding Centre, 4356 Myrtle Avenue.
The first public hearing was held in August. However, Stan Gisborne, Area B director who chaired the hearing, came under fire for debating the OCP with residents. As well, a binder containing a record of public input from the beginning of the southern regional district OCP review in 2008 was not available.
The regional board adopted a policy at the October board meeting that provides guidelines for public hearing procedure and conduct.
