RAIN SHOWERS: After a week of clear skies and warm weather, the rain is back; much-needed for spring flowers and early season garden greens. The photo above was taken of a rhododendron in the neighbourhood of Westview.

According to the Weatherhood station above the Peak office on Marine Avenue, the qathet region is the wettest today, Tuesday, April 29, at 6.7 millimetres of rain; Gibsons comes in second at 0.9 millimetres of precipitation.

The temperature will rise to 13 degrees this afternoon and a mix of sun, cloud, wind and rain will persist throughout the day. Tomorrow, Wednesday, April 30, the sun will be back with some clouds and a high daytime temperature of 15 degrees.

Thursday, May 1, the daytime temperature is forecast for 15 degrees by noon and rising to 19 degrees at 6 pm. This weekend Powell River Farmers' Market moves outdoors, Saturday, May 3, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and Sunday, May 4, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
