qathet Regional District’s (qRD) finance committee has recommended the board include in the 2023 budget for community recreation in Electoral Area C, a contribution of $55,430 for the Kelly Creek Community School Association.
The association runs extensive arts and recreation programs at the school. Correspondence from the association indicates the arts and gym program is almost at capacity.
One major change for the program is it has reopened its after-school day care service. The association was asking for a four per cent increase in its qRD grant for the 2023/2024 school year.
