A single vehicle accident involving a quad resulted in three people being taken to Powell River General Hospital on Saturday, February 8.
According to Powell River Fire Rescue deputy chief Rocky Swanson, the vehicle rolled over in the Gibsons Beach area north of Powell River. The call came in at 4:24 pm.
Swanson said the accident occurred on the road to Gibsons Beach, about halfway down. Both the city’s fire rescue and Tla’amin fire rescue departments responded to the callout, as did the RCMP and ambulance service.
“It looks like they were having a good ride and got into some squishy ground on the side of the road and got hurt,” said Swanson.
