Host families sought
Canada World Youth is still looking for families to host visitors from Canada and Vietnam during their stay in Powell River with the international education program. Aged 18 to 23, the youth will be in the city from December 6, 2011 to March 6, 2012.
All types of households are invited to open their homes and help provide the visitors with the full West Coast experience. Host families receive a weekly allowance of $168.

Setting it straight
An article in last week’s Peak named Powell River Curling Club as recipients of a large donation from Powell River Community Futures. The article should have stated that the donation came from Powell River Community Forest.
