Ferry locations available

BC Ferries has added minor routes to the vessel tracking program available on its website. The expansion includes all the routes serving Powell River.

The additional routes covering the Gulf Islands and Northern Sunshine Coast can be found on a new vessel tracking page which has been added to the Current Conditions section of the BC Ferries website. The new routes include Powell River-Comox, Powell River-Texada Island and Saltery Bay-Earls Cove.

The program allows users to check the locations of ships on all routes served by BC Ferries, except Langdale-Gambier-Keats, which is served by a private operator. Users click on a mark on a chart and the vessel name, speed and direction appears, with data updated approximately every two minutes.
