District offers liquor support
Powell River Regional District’s board of directors will advise the provincial Liquor Distribution Branch that it supports the potential rural agency store to be located in the Savary Island General Store, 2801 Vancouver Boulevard, on Savary Island.
Denies request
A request for financial assistance of $185 toward the Texada Pride celebration was denied by the regional district because the request did not meet its criteria for granting money.
Amends plan
The regional district has approved reallocation of funds to complete four projects. These include: $9,987 to the Texada Heritage Conservation Service building costs to complete the wood room; $12,000 to the Lasqueti Island waste management service other expenses 2014 budget to allow for the removal of scrap metal and scrap vehicle; $15,000 to the Lund Sewer System service studies/professional fees 2014 budget to allow for an assessment of the Lund Sewer System; $27,228 to further fund work on the Shelter Point water services study.
