Award gives winner 100000 for innovation project

Young Canadian entrepreneurs are invited to apply and compete for $100,000 for their innovative business idea.

Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) launched the 2012 BDC Young Entrepreneur Award contest on March 5 with an entry deadline of April 8.

Young business owners, aged between 18 and 35, submit a video presenting an innovative project designed to make their business more successful. One finalist from each province will be selected, along with one finalist from the territories.

In May, Canadians will vote on their favourite innovation project to determine the winner of the $100,000 grand prize. The 2012 young entrepreneur will be announced May 28.
