Six COVID-19 cases reported in qathet region from August 29 to September 4

Total is three times higher than the August 22 to 28 reporting period

BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) reported six COVID-19 cases in the Powell River local health area from August 29 to September 4.

The August 22 to 28 reporting period resulted in the announcement of two cases in the area. From August 15 to 21, there were also two cases reported. From August 8 to 14, two cases were reported. From August 1 to 7, four cases were reported.

In each of the previous two reporting periods (July 25 to 31, and July 18 to 24), one case was reported.

The first 17 days of July resulted in no coronavirus cases.

The cumulative total of positive COVID-19 cases for the local health area from January 2020 through August 2021 is 110, according to BCCDC.
