Slick observed from above Powell River harbour

Powell River’s Canadian Coast Guard unit was called to assist in the mop-up of what appeared to be diesel fuel that was pumped from the bilge of a vessel in the south harbour, December 10, according to the coast guard.

The coast guard inflatable vessel was used to assist in mopping up the spill.

According to the coast guard, on December 11, the spill had dissipated.
